Do Hard Things: A Teenage Rebellion Against Low Expectations |
Leading the pack is Do Hard Things: A Teenage Rebellion Against Low Expectations by the Harris brothers. I have been following this family for some time and they are a symbol of the fruits that Christian homeschooling can produce. I was intrigued by their idea that being "bad" as a teen was no longer revolutionary. It made sense to point out to teens who often just want to rebel against something that they might consider rebelling against low expectations that society has for them. I knew from my own experiences working with teens that they often were more conservative than their parents. I also constantly hear from parents that I had better enjoy my kids now because when they are teenagers they will be "a nightmare". I could go on and on but that would be another blog post. This book is great reading for all parents and teens.
