Advent Celebration: Handel's Messiah Video 2

Today's Advent devotion and accompanying Messiah video focus on two key Scriptures- Isaiah 40:5

And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

and Malachi 3: 2-3.

But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:
And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

I especially enjoyed the musical rendering of Malachi 3 and reminding me about the "refiner's fire" was appropriate for me. I spent some time explaining refiner's fire to Chase and I was surprised at how easily he grasped the concept of God's purification through trials sometimes. View the video below.
